Welcome Back! 2024

Principal Update
Werte Bradshaw Families!!
What a wonderful start to the year. We are extremely excited to see so many of our families returning and to welcome so many new students and their families to the school. All the teachers have had a wonderful and restful break and are now back energized and excited for the year ahead.
Despite a nationwide teacher shortage that I am sure you have heard about in the media; we are close to being fully staffed. Over the holiday I spent a lot of time emailing, meeting with teachers via ZOOM and checking with referees and am very happy to say we found some great new teachers for the school. Can we please welcome:
- Maddilyn McGregor – Year 3
- Tim Howie – Year 3
- Edward Jones – Year 3
- Joshua Dalton – Year 4
- Melissa McDonald – Reading Intervention Lead
- Heather Pedrotti – Read Write Inc Lead
I have been so impressed by the way our new teachers have been welcomed by our staff and supported in their first few days. I am also excited by the enthusiasm and positivity that our new teachers have for teaching, and I know our school is stronger with them joining our team.
Sadly, Bec Denyer will be finishing up with us on the 9th of February. We wish her all the best in what comes next. However, we are very excited to be welcoming back Laura Haigh who will be taking over Bec Denyer’s year 1 class. We are still looking for one more classroom teacher and an art teacher. I am in conversation with a number of potential candidates and continue to work hard to recruit staff to our wonderful school.
I look forward to seeing everyone at our ‘Meet the teacher’ evening next Thursday on the 8th of February.
Thanks all

Community Event - Meet the Teacher
What a great first week back at Bradshaw ! With students starting a new year and meeting their new teachers, we would like for Bradshaw families to join along in the fun in meeting them to, and what a better way to converse and get to know each other than at a Meet the Teacher event complete with a free yummy bbq and refreshing drinks!
We look forward to seeing you all there!

Transition Gill
Our newest members of the school started in transition this week and what an amazing first week they have had! From dancing, to painting, to playdough, to writing, to reading, to counting, to building towers, to making new friends...they have done it all!
Well done on a fabulous start to the year, little legends!

Ampe Akweke 6 - 1Denyer
We have had an awesome start of the year in Ampe Akweke 6. We have been learning about school routines and expectations as well as how to be a responsible Bradshaw learner. Students have done an amazing job of learning how to sit SET on mat to maximise their learning and how to work independently at their tables.
