Term 4 - Week 8 2023
Principal Update
Werte!!
As we draw near to the end of 2023, I wanted to say a HUGE thank you to our Bradshaw families for trusting us with your child’s education. This is a large responsibility and one we take very seriously. Everyday teachers and staff at Bradshaw Primary School are striving to find a way to better educate and connect with all students. It is an exciting time of year for all staff as we reflect back on the amazing growth our students have experienced, as learners and as little people learning to negotiate the wider world, socially and emotionally. Teachers are also excited, looking forward to their classes for next year, knowing that there will be students they know well, siblings of students they have already taught and new students to the school. Very exciting times indeed!
Over the next few weeks, we have a lot of fun activities and events. Buddy class concerts, class parties and water play day to name just a few. Please look out for any notes that are coming home regarding these and other events.
One final favour. If you are intending to change schools or move interstate, could you please let the school know as soon as you can. This really helps us set classes up for next year. We appreciate your support in this.
Thanks again,
Tim O’Sullivan

We love Japanese and SEL
This term 5T have been learning about how to write Japanese symbols using special Japanese paper. This activity left the students amazed as they watched the paper turn wet to dry. They had to try and replicate the techniques of writing symbols from watching a video and listening to their Sensai.
This week, 5T practiced their trust and communication during SEL by blindfolding their peers and guiding them around the classroom and the playground. This activity was very scary for a lot of the students as they had to trust that their classmates could safely and successfully guide them around the space with various obstacles.

MONEY MONEY MONEY
This semester 3L have upped their game when it comes to money. We did some revision of what we've covered over the year but this time we learnt how to add and subtract money using algorithms.
This is important to learn about money so WE DON'T GET RIPPED OFF! 😀
Some of the students found it easy but some found it hard.

Buddy Concert
Dont forget, you're all invited to help celebrate the end of a fantastic year by suppporting and cheering on your little loved one in their Buddy Celebration Concert.
All of our Bradshaw learners have been working hard to create awesome perfomances, sure enough to get you singing and dancing along.
They cannot wait to WOW their families! See you there!

1/2 Phillips
1/2 Phillips students have been learning about capacity this week. We have learnt and revised vocabulary words such as full, empty, nearly full and equal. Students enjoyed estimating and measuring the capacity of various containers.

A reminder to families that children are being sent home today with a raffle ticket booklet for the upcoming Christmas Raffle which will be drawn on the 8th of December.
We are currently accepting donations to add into the raffle, anything big or small will be very much appreciated . Please feel free to drop it into the front office.
Gotta be in it to win it! Good luck !
