Week 10, Term 1, 2022
Leadership Update
The 10 weeks of this term seem to have passed so quickly. We have welcomed many new students and staff so the Bradshaw family has grown this term. Students are settled and there is great learning going on across the school.
Thank you for your ongoing support, particularly with some of the COVID restrictions we have put in place. As these ease you may notice a few changes at school – we can now have up to 5 people in the front office, and some small events and excursions are happening too. Another big change for next term is the resumption of assemblies. This term they have been done via Powerpoint in the classrooms so we are excited for classes to be able to all get together in the Jill Tudor Hall. We are not yet able to have assemblies open to the whole school community however if your child is receiving an award you will be notified and will be able to attend. Also newsletters will return to fortnightly publishing next term with the first edition going out on 22nd April (Week 1).
Another big school event we are expecting to be able to hold next term is our Sports Day. This is scheduled for Friday 6th May (Week 3) so it is time to start thinking about wearing your house colours. Students will be practicing events at school and gathering in house teams to practice war cries.
On Friday 27th May (Week 6) Bradshaw staff will be working with colleagues from Ross Park and School of the Air. The focus will be on developing Maths teaching skills for better outcomes for our students. This is a Pupil Free Day, so students are not required at school for the day.
Later in the term we will also be holding Student Led Conferences. These are a great opportunity to hear about how your child is going at school. These are scheduled for 15th and 16th June (Wednesday and Thursday of Week 9). More information including how to book in to meet with your child and their teacher will come out later in the term.
There are many hats in the lost property basket at the front office. Please take a minute to check if your child has lost their hat. Even as the weather cools down students are still required to wear a bucket hat at school. They are also available for sale from the front office.
We hope you have a great break and have some quality family time over Easter. We look forward to seeing you at the start of term. Students are expected back on Tuesday 19th April.

Mountain Biking Program Term 1
This term we had more than 20 enthusiastic students from Year 3 – 6 participating in the Mountain Biking Program. Students met Tuesday morning before school for coaching sessions, hitting the trails and pump track to learn new skills! We are very proud of the efforts of all students and look forward to having everyone back again in Term 4 when the program is next running.
