Update from Leadership
This week has been big already and it’s only Thursday! Firstly I would like to really thank our terrific staff who have been helping run the Years 3-6 girls and boys field events. Both Wednesday and today have ran so smoothly and as always, our staff go above and beyond. Special mention to Leisa Cousins from the library - turns out books are not her only strength as when she was demonstrating the discuss throw - her demonstration went over the school fence! I would also like to extend my thanks to the senior students. Their behaviour and leadership was at the highest level these past two days and I could not have been more proud. The girls in years 3-6 were just so impressive that they have earned themselves a girls only- exclusive disco next Friday!
Thank you to the SRC students and Mrs MacKinnon for running a successful Mother’s Day stall today. It was so lovely to see our students buying presents for a special woman in their life. The SRC students have put in so much time during lunches - wrapping gifts and organsing the stall! Our students have voted in very responsible SRC members this semester.
For some of our students (and teachers, including me) Sports Day is the best day of the year! This all kicks off tomorrow at 8:50am on Flynn Drive oval. To enable these events to continue, parents and families are required to check in using the QR code and use the hand sanitizer provided as per the Department's COVID guidelines. Similar to last year, students will need to sit in their house tent for the day. Families will set up on the grandstand side of the oval. There are no restrictions on cheering though! The Roaming Barista will be on hand from 11am for your caffeine needs. Who will take home the cup tomorrow….?
As always, I know I speak on behalf of all the staff when I say thank you to our families for your ongoing support.

2021 NAPLAN

NAPLAN will commence next week for all students in Years 3 and 5 and will run for two weeks. It is really important that students get the recommended 8-9 hours sleep each night and eat a healthy breakfast so that they are well equipped to do their best.
Financial Literacy in 3 Fahey
3 Fahey were treated to a skype session on Financial Literacy. Our take-away message was “Spend some on you and save some too.”
