Term 3, Week 8 2025
Letter from the Principal
Werte Bradshaw Primary School Families,
A big thank you to Mrs Amy for making Book Week such a success this year! From creative displays to fun activities and our fabulous dress-up day, her energy and organisation brought so much joy to our students.
We’d also like to give a huge shout-out to Ms Bronnie for putting so much love and effort into running our Father’s Day Stall. The care she put into it ensured our students had a wonderful experience choosing special gifts for their dads and carers.
Thank you to everyone—staff, families, and students—for getting involved and making these events so special for our school community. 💙
We are very excited for our School Fete next week! This is always a highlight on the school calendar, and we look forward to seeing families and students come together for a wonderful community event. Our classes have been working hard on their stalls and can’t wait to share their efforts. On the day, we’ll also enjoy performances from our school band, choir, and the whole school dance—it’s shaping up to be a fantastic celebration.
There is currently a significant amount of illness in the community. We ask that if your child is unwell, please keep them at home until symptoms are no longer present. This helps us reduce the spread of sickness and ensures everyone can participate in learning and special events safely.
Looking ahead, we are beginning preparations for 2026 preschool enrolments. If you have a child due to begin preschool in 2026 and haven’t yet enrolled, please reach out to our preschool team to secure a place.
Finally, a big thank you to Aertex Group for their generous donation in repainting our carpark lines. This support is greatly appreciated and helps keep our school safe and welcoming for families.
Thank you for your ongoing support—we can’t wait to celebrate with you at the fete next week!
Warm regards,
Tim O'Sullivan
Mrs Amy - Book Week Extravaganza!
What an incredible week of all things books! Our Reading Extravaganza at lunchtime saw so many brave students from Transition to Year 6 reading aloud in front of their peers.
We enjoyed an afternoon story on the lawns with our buddies and unveiled a brand-new display in the library.
Of course, finishing the week with our Book Week Dress Up Day was a highlight – the costumes were amazing! Thank you to our students, families, and staff for getting involved and making Book Week such a memorable adventure.

Term 3 in 1/2 Griffiths
It’s hard to believe we’re already in Week 8—this term has flown by! With just two weeks left until the holidays, we’re reflecting on all the wonderful learning and growth that’s taken place.
We’ve been lucky to have two practicum students with us this term—Mr Fulton and Mrs Park. Mr Fulton will be finishing up in Week 9, and we’re excited to welcome Mrs Park back again in Term 4. A special note: Mrs Griffiths will be taking Long Service Leave in Week 10.
Our classroom has been buzzing with excitement as we explored the theme of space. Our young astronomers have learned about the phases of the moon, the sun, and the planets in our solar system. Many have even been spotting moon phases as we walk around the school! We’ve created beautiful space-inspired art and written imaginative narratives that brought our cosmic learning to life. A highlight was sharing these stories with our buddies during Book Week—such a proud moment for our authors!
In Maths, we’ve been building strong foundations in subtraction, shapes, and mass, while also diving into multiplication and regrouping.
We’ve also been busy practising our dance for the School Fair in Week 9, and we can’t wait to perform for you all! It’s shaping up to be a fantastic event, and we hope to see many of you there to celebrate with us.
It’s been a term full of curiosity, creativity, and confidence. We’re looking forward to a strong and joyful finish to Term 3!

3 Lambert - An Awesome Term!
What an awesome term it has been so far for 3L!
We have been working hard on writing our narrative stories. The children have been showing creativity, skill and their wonderful personalities throughout their writing and are about to finish their five-paragraph book! You are all champions.
In maths, we have been working on data, statistics, and our number fluency. The students have been working hard at collecting data and putting this into a bar graph. It’s been great to see the students work collaboratively and creatively in maths and producing some great pieces of work.
We have also been working on preparing our popcorn stall for the school fair! We are all so excited to share this with the rest of the school.
Great job 3L keep up the great work!

The Hub!
Our Year 2/3/4 students have been busy learning about the Zones of Regulation. Through hands-on craft activities, they explored different breathing strategies and reflected on their cup of tolerance—what fills it up, how it affects us, and strategies we can use to stay calm.
Students have also been enjoying LEGO Therapy, a fun and practical way to build teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills. Working together on shared LEGO challenges has encouraged collaboration, listening to each other’s ideas, and celebrating creative solutions.

Monday & Tuesday Twine Preschool

5C Adventures and Learning
5C has had a very busy and exciting few weeks!
In Week 5, we visited the West Side Community Gardens, where we learned all about caring for plants. Students discovered how to pot plants, explored the features of compost and healthy soil, and even used microscopes to observe the tiny organisms that live beneath our feet.
Week 6 took us camping to Ross River, where we spent our days outdoors—playing games, going on bushwalks, and creating unforgettable memories together. A highlight was our walk through the stunning Trephina Gorge on the journey back to town. Evenings were just as special, filled with tricky quiz questions, a talent show brimming with creativity, and marshmallows roasted to perfection by the campfire.
This week, we were lucky enough to enjoy the NT Music Demo. Students who take part in music lessons showcased their skills proudly in front of their peers during assembly—it was a wonderful celebration of their talent and hard work.
What an amazing few weeks it has been for 5C!
